tinnitus-free people

A 1953 study (Heller and Bergman) of 80 tinnitus-free university students placed in a soundproofed room found that 93% reported hearing a buzzing, pulsing or whistling sound.
It's really surprising to me that even tinnitus free people hear noises. It's probably due to the fact that industrialized countries are so loud, so poeple think that they're hearing noises even when they aren't.

Tinnitus

Tinnitus. Really annoying. It's when you hear a ringing or a whooshing sound in your ears. It's not really a disase. It's more of a symptom of other causes, like injury from loud noises or ear infection.
